Basic Skills Practice now on every Weds from 9:15am-12:15pm until 11th March 2020
The City of Wolverhampton College have introduced a course that supports adults to improve their basic practical skills in English and Maths required for everyday life, the workplace and education. The course aims to increase their skills to help them achieve their goals and aspirations.
- Effective use of capital letters
- Problem solving text, identifying capital letters
- Correct use of punctuation, colon, semi-colon, speech marks, comma, etc
- Using connective words
- Explore the 4 rules of numbers
- Number problems
- Word problems using multiplication, addition and subtraction
- Percentages and fractions
Participants will gain a college certificate and will be able to progress onto an accreditated English or Maths course, at entry level up to level 2.

Eligibility criteria and age group: People who are unemployed and on a work related benefit. Adults aged 19+

If you are long term unemployed, with multiple barriers to finding work, engaging in education/training or just want to become job ready, these workshops are for you. The workshops will give you the tools to develop while in a friendly and supportive environment where you will achieve your desired goals.
Delivered bi-weekly on Tuesday’s between 10am – 12 midday.

Steps Towards Entrepreneurial Resilience (STER) program now on!
Starts 20th January 2020, every Monday from 10am – 12midday.
The Global Entrepreneurial Development Services Ltd (GEDS) are delivering the STER program here at GSCC and in other areas of Wolverhampton and the Black Country. It is funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) and runs for over 12 weeks (roll on roll off). The following categories are eligible for STER:
