This project is funded by the European Social Fund\u2019s (ESF) and the National Lottery Community Fund.<\/span><\/em><\/p>

We are delighted to be one of the projects delivery partners and as such we aim to ensure that we offer the best services to our diverse community.<\/p>

Gloucester Street Community Centre working in partnership with 15 organisations throughout the Black Country to deliver programmes that will support individuals experiencing multiple barriers and long-term unemployment. <\/span><\/p>

Eligibility criteria for Bridges:<\/strong><\/p>

  • We can support anyone that is over 25 years old<\/li>
  • Unemployed (cannot be in part time work or zero hours contract)<\/span><\/li>
  • Economically Inactive (including those not working who are claiming benefits other than JSA)\u00a0<\/span>Legally resident in the UK and able to take paid employment in European Union member states<\/span><\/li>
  • Have complex needs\/multiple barriers*\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>which are impacting on being able to enter paid employment.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>
  • Require support to\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>fully and independently engage in existing services<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

    The target groups include, but are not limited to:<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>

    People from BAME communities;<\/span><\/p>

    People with disabilities<\/span><\/p>

    People with long term health problems<\/span><\/p>

    People who are over 50<\/span><\/p>

    People who are long term unemployed<\/span><\/p>

    People with poor literacy and numeracy<\/span><\/p>

    What can we offer to our potential participants:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>

    • A tailored support package offering opportunities to gain further understanding and insight into perceived barriers to employment\/ self-employment.<\/span><\/em><\/li>
    • Support into education, accredited and non-accredited.<\/span><\/em><\/li>
    • Information, Advice & Guidance<\/em><\/li>
    • CV writing and Job Search opportunities<\/em><\/li>
    • Timely support with Counselling \/Coaching\/Mentoring and Confidence Building Sessions.<\/span><\/em><\/li>
    • Opportunities to volunteer and valuable work experience and life-long learning opportunities including budgeting and money management.<\/span><\/em><\/li>
    • Offer of limited childcare support for those wanting to engage in learning or attend job interviews.<\/em><\/li>
    • By the end of your engagement with the\u00a0 support package we envisage that you will successfully gain suitable skills and the confidence to pursue an independent lifestyle that will ensure a more positive outcome in the future.<\/span><\/em><\/li><\/ul>
