Online Accredited courses from September 2021
Gloucester Street Community Centre in partnership with NCFE and Skills Forward will be delivering Blended and Online accredited courses in Functional Skills English, Functional Skills Maths and Functional Skills in ESOL at Entry Level, Level 1 and Level 2.
What are Functional Skills and why you need them?
Functional Skills are the essential skills in ENGLISH, MATHS and ESOL.
Any learner over the age of 14 has the opportunity to study for these essential qualifications in practical ways that apply to everyday situations, enabling them to operate confidently and effectively through life and work.
How will your course be delivered?
- on a one-to-one-basis online; or
- blended learning, which is a combination of one-to-one learning online, attending face to face classes at the centre and self-directed study where applicable.
How are Functional Skills assessed?
Functional Skills assessments are graded as either a ‘pass’ or ‘fail’. There are no proxies and no portfolio elements for these qualifications.
All Entry Level examinations are either paper based or online remote assessment.
